Elsah & Brady
Like Alice in Wonderland, I'm late.................. I'm late!!!! Don't ask-- -it is what it is! :)
On a somewhat chilly and very damp day the week before last, Elsah and Brady were married. Bobbi had the opportunity to shoot the wedding with Coby and Diane from CMAX Photography, it was great all the way around! The happy couple were married and celebrated at the World's Fair Pavillion in Forest Park. Note a couple of shots that show Coby and Diane in action.
It was lots of fun------- please see the slideshow HERE!

Bridal Fashion Fall 2009
It's been a little while since bridal market wrapped for Fall 2009 and I have to tell you that it has been difficult if not impossible to select favorites. The collections were gorgeous, breathtaking, inspiring and wonderful. Bridal couture gets better and better. One of the things I loved was the continuing asymetric influence, done in understated and elegant ways. As a seamstress I appreciate the small details that make the gown itself as well. This season is the confluence of structured details and floating almost architectural bits.
I had to chose some favorites and wanted to see what you thought as well!
Always, Always, Always a favorite--- Monique L'hullier. I look forward to every collection with great anticipation as she mixes the traditional and fresh in such a way that every gown is not only breathtaking but quietly inventive.
Asymetric in the bodice shaping as well as the skirt and the embellishments and beading are spectacular. The quiet satin ribbon at the waist makes this gown near perfection!
Also from L'hullier (above) is this frothy and amazing weding gown. Frothy and elegant. The movement is lovely the details incredible.
Love these gowns from Rivini, (below)
More of that incredible and delicate tulle skirting---- delicious! The gown above reminds me of what Cindarella would wear at a 2009 wedding to the Prince. So yummy.
Also from Rivini the gown above. The shaping is absolute elegance- traditional yet so fresh and today. The details on the gown are just perfect, absolutely stunning!
From LianCarlo is this deceptively simple stunner. The mermaid shaping continues to be popular and the dhape of this gown reflects that with a bit of a twist. Don't you love the pink crystal beading on the bodice?
Of course you can't begin to have an intelligent conversation about bridal couture without including something delish from Vera Wang. The gown below was just one in a line up of stuffing creations. Doesn't it look absolutely weightless?
And for the moment, I'll stop with the gown above--- also Vera Wang. Frothy, gorgeous, stunning! The use of the raw edged organza layers worked to perfect advantage-- love it!
All of us here at BBP are looking forward to a wedding season that will undoubtedly focus on many gorgeous brides and their gowns. Stay tuned!

The BBP Bride.... 2035
No doubt about it, the absolutely beautiful Miss Lily will be a BBP Bride in 2035! She is indeed Sugar & Spice and all things nice, her personality is as engaging as can be, what a doll!
Her mama is former bride Lindsey, one of our favorite people along with her Gramma Mary--- so how could we not just love Lily right off the bat?
As a reminder our family portrait sessions for Spring 2009 have only a few openings and we would love to make sure that your special people are photographed with "Images from the Heart..."

Happy Easter!
Happy Easter to all of our friends and clients who celebrate! We send blessings and bunnies! :)
St. Louis is known for it's Pork Steak. If you don't know it, think ribs and chops and t bones all kind of rolled into one. A nice sticky bbq sauce on the grill, some cole slaw and potato salad, some baked beans come from this kitchen. Coming to join the table are some home baked rolls and deviled eggs!
It is Easter in any form, and a day to remember egg hunts from years past, nights up late making all sorts of Easter finery, and to be grateful for the present.

Mr. Austin
We are just flat out blessed and then some, and we know it! It's always such a fabulous perk and a glorious blessing to be able to photograph our former brides and grooms as their families grow. Mr. Austin (above) was such a happy case!
Austin is the first child, the handsome son, of Kate and Matt. It seems like just yesterday that we were all watching them dance at the Starlight Ballroom at the Chase and their happy toasts of Dom! And yet, here is their wonderfully cute and personable little baby boy!
Welcome Austin, you are just the sweetest thing! We are looking forward to watching you grow and documenting the milestones with "Images from the Heart..."

That of which we are GLAD
The car above? Nell's! EEEEEEEK!!!! She was on her way to work yesterday andwas hit head on by a milk delivery truck going through a red light. We were terrified to say the least! Thankfully she walked away, and seems just fine with the exception of being a little sore. (fingers crossed)
We are extremely grateful--- what a blessing. As Nell herself says, there were angels looking out for her!
As always------ life is fragile------ be your best at every moment!!

Cara & Jason
I can't believe how busy we are around BBP------ it's crazy (and wonderful!) Must be spring fever or something!
Cara & Jason's wedding last weekend was just wonderful, what a HAPPY bride and groom! You know, sometimes the bride and/or groom get so caught up in the festivities of the day or family politics or something that they just don't relax and have a good time---- it is sad, but it happens! Not Cara and Jason, they were positively giddy and glowing all day long!
I have to share one of my personal favorites---- as you know I knit and always ask the bride of the hour to pose with my project du jour. All of "my" brides are always so sweet and generous but Mrs. Cara really rocked the sticks! :)

Time for Cara and Jason
The weather in St. Louis today couldn't be sweeter----- almost 70 with blue skies! So much is happening in town with the women's Final Four and opening day for the Cards------ a zillion people in town and high energy everywhere! With much colder and less springy weather on the way everyone will be out and about enjoying this great day!
Today we will be part of the long awaited celebration of Cara & Jason's wedding and are looking forward to spending time with the happy couple, their friends and family. Great photos to come from this very special day!

Thanks to The Knot!
Well, well, well! We're so pleased to have been chosen "The Knot Best of Weddings 2008/2009 Pick"!!!
It is our second year in a row being chosen and as we said last year, what really makes us smile is the fact that the picks are chosen by brides. We don't advertise in The Knot so it is sweeter still!
Thanks to those that voted, and to those that will! We never get tired of saying that we have the best clients in the whole world and it is very humbling and gratifying to know that we're part of a mutual admiration society!
