Holiday Aftermath

Tina says (while drinking eggnog): Christmas is over---- as much as I tried to slow it down it just didn't happen. As expected my son didn't make it home from NYC, boo hoo. He will arrive this Wednesday in time to spend a long weekend and to ring in 2010. I think the unexpected perk is that I need to stay out of the cookies and gingerbread in order to make sure he has enough of home goodies when he is here. And that lonely bare under the tree look has been postponed as his gifts are still bright and shining under there. (Along with my new set of BLUE Martha bowls and kitchen towels). It's going to be an aqua 2010 for sure!

Bobbi says: It was a great Christmas! Everyone in the family had a great time and we were all together, it doesn't get better than that! Even the dogs had new sweaters!

Nell says: Christmas was great but the best part is having some time off! I loved my first Christmas as a first grade teacher, the kids were adorable! I'm having a great time seeing friends who are in town for the holidays and my boyfriend and I will be celebrating Bobbi's birthday (note from Tina----12/27) with some hockey!

All Other Staffers are out of town or slacking off and unavailable for comment! :)

All told it was a lovely few days, near perfection and I don't say that often. Even Mother Nature conspired to bring enough snow on the ground (and little on the roads) to call it a white Christmas.

From everyone at BBP here in the holiday aftermath----Hope you and yours had the very best of times.

One SHORT Week!

Well kids, Christmas Eve is one week away from today!!! I'm not quite sure how it came to happen so fast (as it always does) but there you have it.

Here's hoping your shopping is done, your gifts are wrapped and all things are orderly so that you can enjoy this special time of year with family and friends. After all, isn't that the most important thing in the world?

You bet! Especially now, count your blessings and pass one on!

New Boyfriends for the Holidays

We have the best preferred vendors----- the best in the world hands down. The fact that we also consider them friends ('cause we're fussy y'know?) is such a bonus and a blessing.

Last night the fabulous Chris from C.J.'s Disc JockeyService (himself funny and hugely entertaining as well as being a phenominal d.j. along with his crew) took the whole BBP crew to the hockey game. Well those of us who matter------- Nell and Tina along with Bobbi (kidding other staffers, kidding!!!!) to Scottrade. The whole night was really great but I think one of the biggest goosebump moments was both benches banging their sticks for Mr. H*ull--- awesome.

For those of you who were not as lucky as we were, what a fab night! The greatest hockey players in Blues history there as the 'dream team', B*rett H*ull a new hall of famer, and my boyfriends (who adore me) WON!!!! They played really great hockey and what a nice touch that Mr. Janssen threw off the gloves early, excellent! The goals from Andy and Alex (we're on a first name basis of course) were sweet as can be and boyfriend T.J. scored the game winner. Go Blues!

I think because it is the holiday season and I don't want Mr. H*ull to feel all sniffly I should make him one of my new boyfriends. It's only fair! As Mr. G*retsky was on hand last night and there is nothing worse than feeling left out, he can be my new boyfriend too. A magnanimous gesture I don't mind making one single bit.

Chris? Oh, he gets boyfriend status too-------- his wife won't mind a bit! If you are in the market for a great d.j. give him a jingle..............promise???? But the hockey tickets are MINE! :)

Bowling, no Elves

One of my holiday weaknesses is Elf Bowling, I confess. I have a very, very old game on my computer from the days of the infancy of the game. There is something wonderfully holiday-ish about playing a game or two and listening to the elf taunts and giggles. (Can you say "guuuuuteeerrrrrr balllllll") Elves aside, Bobbi had the opportunity to hang out for a bit with fellow STL photographers at Flamingo Bowl last night and a great time was had by all. Brides? You're in good hands, what can we say!

Wrapping Up Ends

When Bar*bara W*alters is on the telly with her end of the year special you know that it really IS that time! We've been so busy around BBP trying to get holiday orders up and out that I sort of forgot that 2009 will be over soon and we'll be ushering in 2010. (I'm sure you share my shock and dismay---- if you are one of those organized folks please keep your smug satisfaction to yourself!!!)

It's always wonderful to see so many old and new clients as the holidays approach-- a treat!! With so many coming and going either picking up orders or delivering goodies it definitely gives us all time to reflect once again that we have the best clients in the world, we treasure them all not only as clients but as friends!

Now, about that end of year tv thing, how can you not tune in? Sounds like it will be great tv to wrap by. Did I say wrap? I'm woefully behind I'm afraid, Santa will be delivering F*ed Ex.

This leads me to that eternally seasonal question...............

so, have you been naughty...........................................................or nice????

Sniffles

I loved all of the photos from Becky's first birthday------ she is a sweet and spunky little girl and we know, love (and have photographed) the whole family. Above, with daddy Tim she has a moment. Those moments popularized by one year olds (and well beyond) where a sniffle or two becomes, well becomes something more. Photos like this always remind me (especially this time of year) of kids who suffer meltdowns when face to face with Santa. If only the photo had audio, but you can provide your own!
