Wedding Manicure

It is official, the BBP unofficial wedding manicure poll! Of weddings in the last two years, 99% of our brides have worn a French Manicure. Of those manicures 92% of those were the traditional white and nude combination with the balance being white tips and pale pink nails. The other 1% of manicures? A sheer wash of shiny blush toned polish.

The latest update to the French Manicure is a white tip with a very pale neutral wash on the nail itself, sometimes brushed over the white tip giving the whole thing a more subtle glow. While it seems to give a fresher look to the French Manicure, decreed by Vogue as passe last year, we don't see it replacing a Wedding day manicure here in the heartland anytime soon.

Whatever your choice of wedding polish, experiment with your manicurist frequently before your big day. This is something that you might well do anyway so taking the time to audition different wedding looks is a great idea. While looking through bridal magazines make sure you notice manicures to get some ideas.

If you decide to go with the traditional French manicure, know that you will not be alone in that decision!
